It helps to ensure that your site appears on search engine results pages for relevant queries in that area.

Local businesses often rely on referrals and foot traffic - ranking high in local search engines is essential for their success.

And so, it can find businesses located in a given location when someone searches for them. To rank high in local search engine results, you need to make sure that your business name and address are the same across all listings, including your website.
